   Hi All,

   I have upgraded from 2.3 to 2.3.1 and everything seems to have gone okay. However my blog still gives me the message.

   "A new version of WordPress is available! Please update now."

   I have searched the forum and there are a few posts on this topic, but I haven't found one that solves the problem or explains why it's happening. I have (I think) cleared the cache but no joy.

   Can anyone please help?

   What is the content of your wp-content/version.php file?

   If it says 2.3 you might need to follow Steps 7 and 8 of Upgrading WordPress Extended.

   Followed it to the letter and now it's ok. I guess some files were left in the structure.
