Hello,
I downloaded wordpress blog through my provider of my webserver. INstalled it and it did work propperly.
Then downloaded the upgrade 2.71 because the page was asking that.
Removed all files and maps as discussed in the manual.
Uploaded new files
Did the upgrade thing and went to my admin page. Everything ok.
But now i cant go to the index.php the page on which the visitors should read the blogs. It is standing white and loading withou stopping.
How can i solve this

Well I have the same problem so hopefully someone can help us both.
Mine has loaded to a new wordpress blog. And it seems everything else is lost.
Having seen this I wonder if it's not what I did that caused it? I don't know.
I hope someone can help you.

the admin section is still working but i cant go to my landingpage...
i tried it over and over again. I am happy it was a new install and not one with allready blogs in it.
So now we both have to be patient.

"Landingpage"? Does the admin work or doesn't it? Does it make a difference when you change themes and/or deactivate all plugins?

Hello,
i can login to the admin section. It was a first install so i did no install any themes or plugins. I only did the upgrade because it was asking for that.
Landingpage is that page where a visitor comes out when he point out to my blob.

It seems your whole blog is down. How did you upgrade? The WP built-in upgrade feature, some other kind of automatic upgrade or manually? The only thing I can think off is to just try to install WP again. Perhaps you missed some files or some files didn't get transferred properly or something.

I dit what the manual told me.
delete admin and include map
Delete all wp files except the config one.
Then reupload the 7.1 version.
Then let it install the database
And then it happend
I tried it over 4 times again.
i am gonna look for the builtin upgrade thing.... perhaps that solves my problem
and ofcourse i wait for other suggestions

Let what?!? You don't install a database on an upgrade. I'm afraid you've used the install WP instructions for an upgrade.
(But how do you install the database when you've left wp-config untouched? Do you try to run install.php instead of upgrade.php perhaps?)
Btw. As soon as you're on 2.7, you have a built-in upgrade functionality.

no, as you point after uploading all the files to http://www.havealookhere.com/blog/wp-admin it is telling you the dbase should update first.
Then i press continue and it is telling me the update was going corectly.
But never mind. I solved my problem very simple.
I deleted everything. Put the new version online and went to http://www.havealookhere.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php
Maked it a fresh install and everything was working well.
The upgrade just won't work.

A database upgrade usually happens when there is a new version of WP, not just an update. I guess you installed something like 2.6.x first and then upgraded. That shouldn't be a problem though, but I'm glad you solved it. Hopefully the next upgrade will go better.
