Try switching to a default theme to rule out a theme issue. If not that, rename the /wp-content/plugins/ folder to old-plugins to rule out a plugin issue. If not that, Manually Install WordPress (do not overwrite the /wp-content/ folder). If not that, consult host if they meet WP minimum requirements. No more if thens…

I’m having some problems with comments since updating to 3.9.2.
First of all, all comments are gone. nowhere to be found. none in the approved list under comments.
Secondly, when I try to add a comment, I get the error below.
any ideas?
