[resolved] After update to WordPress 3.5 JetPack 2.0.2 breaks (24 posts)

I've just updated to WP 3.5.
    Jetpack 2.0.2 made it fail.
I had to remove the plugin folder via ftp.
When you download it again and activate the plugin WP stops to work in admin mode.
Now I have it installed clean, but without activating it.

Could you give me more information about the error you see when activating the plugin?

If you only see a blank screen, could you check your server error logs to find out more about the issue?

Hi. I have just upgraded to WordPress 3.5 and Jetpack has stopped working for me as well. I can neither access the Jetpack menu page nor the stats. Please help !

Apologies... a correction. The Jetpack main menu page (admin) does load and it says connected to wordpress.com. However, the stats just refuse to load.

Do you see any error messages on the Stats page?
Could you also check your browser's javascript console, and let me know if you see any errors there?

Hi. No errors visible... the page just does not load at all.

You can see the screenshot on the link below:

    Thanks & Regards.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in /expert/htwebs/www2/ftpasle/asle.eu/wp-includes/pomo/translations.php on line 76

The configuration file is correct and has no memory problems.

After trying to active it, I can't access to the dashboard nor edit a post.

I had to access via ftp and delete de JetPress folder in wp-content/plugins

Then I can access all the features except JetPress.

@venan could you try to increase the memory limit as explained here?
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Common_WordPress_Errors#Allowed_memory_size_exhausted

    @rajiv63
Could you try to deactivate all plugins one by one, and see if one of them causes conflicts with the Stats page?

I, too, am having a problem. I upgraded to WP 3.5, and although Jetpack doesn't break at install, the minute I "Connect to WordPress" My site issues a 403 error. It's a conundrum, 3.5 fixes some pesky errors in regards to IE browsers, but I loves me some Jetpack. Please help.

After updating to WP 3.5, the Edit CSS function is no longer working for me.

All of the CSS changes still appear, but the Edit CSS page shows a blank, uneditable window. De/Reactivating the plugin did not help.

I'm having issues related to Jetpack as well, but only on posts with Youtube videos embedded. This post shows the error I'm experiencing.

Warning: stripos() [function.stripos]: needle is not a string or an integer in /home/donburn/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 658

Warning: stripos() [function.stripos]: needle is not a string or an integer in /home/donburn/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 661

I thought it might have been the theme, but the errors are there in Twenty Twelve as well. The only way to get rid of the errors is to deactivate JetPack, and to quote cairnsda above, I loves me some Jetpack.

EDIT - The error only shows up on single posts, not within the main blog list.

    @jeremy Thanks a lot!
I've icreased the memory limit from 64 to 96 in wp-config installed and activated Jetpack 2.0.2 in WordPress 3.5 with NO ERRORS at all!
I can mark this topic as resolved in my case.
    Excellent job.

I'm not sure if my problem is related to the WP update but my site has been running slow and timing out. I ran a scan with P3 Plugin Profiler and Jetpack was slowing my site way down. I've been been getting time outs and page not found errors all day. I deactivated Jetpack and my site is moving much faster.

I have the same issue with Jetpack after upgrading to 3.5. No error message but my stats won't load.

Hi.. as suggested, I deactivated all plug-ins and reactivated them one by one. For me the problem seemed to be with a plugin called MP3 Playlist Lite. I have deleted the plugin and everything seems fine now. Please treat this as resolved for me at least.

Thanks a lot for your help !

    Regards.

Not sure if I'm in the ight place.

I just downloaded Jetpack to my wordpress 3.5 site. On the mobile version it displays a scattering of 40 or 50 Capital (uppercase) As with an accent on top of each A (looks like a Spanish accent)in between most of the words on each page. On my laptop, these As are not there, only on my phone.

Does anyone know what this is, and how to resolve it.

    Thanks in advance.

@cairnsda @pconnors @DJ Smith Could you try to deactivate all plugins one by one, to make sure there are no conflicts with another plugin?

I would also recommend that you check the following thread for common issues with WordPress 3.5:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-35-master-list?replies=4

@dbwilldo Did it start happening when you upgraded to WordPress 3.5? If so, could you try the steps I posted above?
If not, could you start your own thread?

I had something similar happen to me too. I installed the WP update - did the Jetpack plugin update and it simply disappeared from my left sidebar. no error - its just totally gone

edit - I just deleted it and reinstalled - now getting this error:

The plugin sharepress/sharepress.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

    To everyone whom this concerns;
Just an FYI, I turned off all the plugins: no luck.
I backed up critical data, Blew the whole site out (deleted), uploaded WP 3.5 fresh, replaced wp-config and .htaccess, and installed Jetpack 2.0.3 alone: Link disappeared from menu.
Updated to 2.0.4 when I saw that it was released: Fixed the menu, 403'd my site.
I am convinced that this is now a problem with the host, BIZ.NF, as this is for free hosting (using as temporary proof of concept for customer). All my other sites, including my personal one, are at WP 3.5 and JP 2.0.4 and working FINE.
Thank you Jeremy for all the fine work, keep it up, and consider my issue as resolved as it will ever be.

P.S. Still loving me some Jetpack

@cairnsda I've come to the same conclusion but didn't wana accept it (doubting myself lol) until you've confiremed it.

    biz.nf free hosting + Jetpack = ERROR
