Tried to update and now have no access. I can view my blog, but can not get to admin to do anything. Since I just started I don't know much about accessing any files, if I can?

Can anyone help? Or point me to wp customer service if there is one.

    Try:
    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

I just talked to my host about getting access to wp files and they don't know what I am talking about. So, I am at a loss. In w-p all I how to do is post a blog.

To access your remote server. Just tell your hosts that you need FTP access and take it from there.

esmi, Thanks for the help yesterday, I was able to get thing straighten out.
The only problem I am having with the 3.2.1 version is I can not unload a new header picture It give me this error message.

Unable to create directory /home/stevenfr/public_html/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.
