    Hi

I moved my webpage to another server, but can't get the permalinks to work there.

It is a apache server and I have tryed troubleshooting it with the help of codex, but with no luck.

I changed the permissions and found out that wp is rewriting the .htaccess file, but whenever I put it on permalinks the browser doesent find any subpages.

I don't really get the Allowoverride part described in the codex. If this is a common error and could be the problem can someone explain that to me?

That apache can ignore your .htaccess, if it wasn't allowed to override...

So, there in httpd.conf should be AllowOverride +Files, AFAIR.

Okay thanks, yeah it seems that this is the case. Will talk to the server people to fix this.
