I just installed the Styles plugin and it seems to have moved all my sidebar widgets to the bottom of my site? Why did it do this, I hadn’t intended to change anything yet? Is something wrong or is it standard that I should have to find a way to make my sidebar a side bar again?

Best way to fix this? Edit my sidebar & widget options or fix something else?

P.S. I am using a child of the Twenty-Thirteen Theme, but it’s pretty much the same as the original theme as I haven’t customized it much at all yet.

Your widgets haven’t “really” moved to the bottom — this is a part of the theme design. For slimmer window widths, the theme changes to a mobile layout, which moves the widgets from a sidebar to a footer.

If you have a large monitor, you can view the desktop layout by expanding your window width. If your window is as large as it can be and you still can’t see it, zoom out a few times until it switches to desktop. (Command – on mac, Control – on PC). The dash is the “minus” sign next to “0” on your keyboard.

My theme is the same, I didn’t change my theme, and the theme design has been working fine at this width and zoom level. Its standers 100% zoom on a standard laptop.

Are you saying all my visitors on computers with screens like mine are going to receive a mobile version so long as they use the normal 100% zoom level in their browser which most of them don’t have a clue how to change?

Is there any way to install it with out it prestyling anything and just use it for the handy color functions? Like I said, my theme may have the function but it didn’t do it for this screen size until I installed styles. I really want the functions of styles, can’t I just install styles and use it without it forcing mobile versions on my users?

Styles doesn’t change anything that should effect your width. Can you provide a link to your site?

Are you seeing the mobile version on your entire site, or just in the Customizer? I’m referring to the Customizer view — the addition of the Customizer sidebar causes a reduced width only while you are editing.

You know what, my apologies. I just deactivated styles and it’s still doing it. I figured it was the plug in because it happened right after I installed it, but there must be something else must be wrong with my site. Thanks.

No problem. Glad you found a solution!
