I’ve successfully installed WP and I’ve noted the temporary password. When I navigate to the login page (which loads fine) and enter my login info, I’m brought to my 404 error page. (The 404 error is a result of http://www.gaugerfamily.com/wordpress/wp-login.php not being found.) I thought it might have something to do with the URL I entered on step 2 of the installation:
What is the web address of your WordPress installation? (We probably guessed it for you correctly.)
    (already filled in): http://www.gaugerfamily.com
WP is actually installed in http://www.gaugerfamily.com/wordpress/
What should I enter in this field? Could the problem be something else entirely?

I'd say your WordPress address (URI) or your Blog address (URI) is wrong they're pointing to the wrong directory.

I've completely removed all my MySQL tables, and reloaded all the wordpress files to my server. On step 2 of the installation it asks you to specify the web address of the wordpress installation:
What is the web address of your WordPress installation? (We probably guessed it for you correctly.)
    (already filled in): http://www.gaugerfamily.com
    My website is:
    http://www.gaugerfamily.com
Wordpress is installed inside the directory:
    http://www.gaugerfamily.com/wordpress/
    Which to I choose?
    Thanks,
    ~Aaron

PERFECT! I've been fumbling around with this for weeks. Now I just need to figure out how to use it.
    Thanks again!
