Help! I’m a blundering idiot!! I did a search but still cannot find the solution.

I just upgraded from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 and followed the instructions (I thought) on the codex site. Now when I try to login, I get this:

Your database is out-of-date. Please upgrade.

When I click on upgrade, I get this,

The requested URL /wp-admin/upgrade.php was not found on this server.

What the heck did I do wrong?

I’ve just done some more digging through more posts, and I’m now wondering if I have to delete my MySQL database in cPanel and create a new one….

Would I lose all of my posts and settings?

Somebody please help me! I can’t log in to make any posts and I’m dying here!

Yes, deleting your database would make you loose everything.

Anyway, you apparently didn’t upload it when you uploaded the v2.0.2 files. Try uploading them again and then make sure you have a upgrade.php in your /wp-admin/ folder.

Thank you so much! You have no idea how grateful I am for your reply. I uploaded the files twice, but the same files were missed both times. I use SmartFTP…I wonder if it’s an issue with that program…

Thanks again. Everything is working perfect now.
