I'm in dire need of support. Just a while ago while trying to to trouble shoot 404 errors, i deleted unused cufon fonts that where causing them. after deletion i reloaded the page and got this
Warning: require(/home/s22admin/freshlyserious.com/wp-load.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/s22admin/freshlyserious.com/wp-login.php on line 12
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/s22admin/freshlyserious.com/wp-load.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php5/lib/pear') in /home/s22admin/freshlyserious.com/wp-login.php on line 12
i cant even get to my admin panel.
I went to my theme back up to look for the load.php and found no such file name. i put the cufon font back and still nothing please help.

ok...more info the mishap happened in firefox. if i open in safari the blog loads. but i have a feeling that if i hit the login i wont be able to see the site at all. freshlyserious.com and the theme is organic themes structure.
it opened fine in chrome on mac for me...
try clearing your browser cache and see if that remedies the situation.

it's asking for a wp-load.php and i dont see any signs of that anywhere. is that part of the problem?
Yes, that's a major issue. I posted a solution in your other topic. Thank you.
See http://wordpress.org/support/topic/so-ummm?replies=18 - I closed that, but it needs to be cross linked to someone can see what went on before.
If you're using a caching plugin, flush the cache.
If that doesn't help, turn off ALL plugins. Every last one. If you can't get in to turn 'em off, rename plugins folder to plugins-old
I can see your site, FWIW. You said you're using a plugin notifier thing. Is it telling you WHO is visiting those pages? Your server's error log should give you the same data without spamming your inbox.

ok just got back. emptied caches. turned of plugins. where do i find server log?
If you have cpanel, there's an error log 'page' that shows you the 404s and the IP of the person who pinged it. Plesk probably has something similar. You may need to ask your host.

That's much more helpful than 404s! :)
Okay, first run a repair on your database via phpMyAdmin. Then if that doesn't help, switch to the Twenty Ten theme and see if THAT works.

i just tried to back everything up. nuthing but 404. tried to repair...404. would it be easier to just start with a new install?
It may very well be.
Before doing so, try backing up (at least the database and the wp-content folder), then try using the WordPress Export feature to get an XML file with all of your posts in it if you can get that far into your WordPress admin area.
Then, delete WordPress from your server (all of the files and drop the database) and reinstall it. Assuming the reinstall goes well (and assuming you were able to export your posts), you can then try to import your posts into the new installation and see if everything comes back.

everything is wrong under the hood.
Let me try to setup an account... well since you do not allow user registration, and would like me to look at it, you can email login details to me if you would like
Second thought... don't bother your site is a porno site... your own ISP has probably begun action to ban your site... Also, I do not believe you are allowed to post links to porno sites within this forum...

so i hope you guys are still around...here's an update.
i haven't taken the blog down yet. i did manage to get a backup of the data base with wpdb manager. then i started feeling lucky and actually installed wp 3.1.2 on my computer. i copied the content from my old install over the content of the new install. right now i'm importing the xml from the old blog.
wht i'd like to know is am i going about this the right way. i figure if i can get a copy of the site running at home then there's hope. i cant believe this crap is happening the weekend of my bday. stuff like this only happens to me... thanks in advance for any further help.
stick with it, if you can copy it over to a local install and get everything right on there then the next thing to do would be to uninstall wp on your hosting and the reinstall a fresh 3.1.2 and then export your site to the new install.
also, check all plugins for compatibility with 3.1.2 and when you install the plugins turn them on one at a time and see if the problem returns. you're on the right track!

ok..created new database, attempted install and says wordpress is already installed.
Are you pointing to the new DB? That error usually means you're pointing to the old one with all the tables. You should be pointing to a blank one.

not really sure how to do that. dreamhost wasnt any help. but here's an update. when i couldnt install to the new database i restored the old one. i started toying around and switched to the twenty10 theme...and lo and behold i havent had a 404 yet. i totally think it was my theme screwing eveything up. is that possible?
the only thing now tho is my dashboard is gone. even in the screen options. any thoughts?
Yeah, the theme is possible.
What do you mean your dashboard is 'gone'?
