   I'm working on a new website on wordpress.

   It has over 60 pages and 45 categories.

   Today I found out that if I turn on permalinks WordPress needs to run 2891 queries per page. If I use the default settings (?id=XX) It only takes around 80 queries.

   Has anyones seen anything similar?

   I'm sure it has to be related to the core.... I did turn off EVERY plugin and switched back to the default theme.

   It looks like the latest version of wordpress fixed this issue or something else did... Now it works fine.

   the problem is back... not sure how it was fixed but now I have over 3500 querys.

   Cache helps a lot but it is not a final solution.
