Advice on WordPress Plugin? (3 posts)

I'm looking at adding a page for a golf course website I manage and I'm wondering if there are any suggestions on how best to do it?

Right now, I simply have a post/page with a table in it detailing each of the 18 holes (i.e. distance, par, index etc...)

I'm thinking that maybe there is a plugin that could make this easier?

Maybe a general plugin that let me create custom fields for entry in the admin console and display them on the front-end?

All I really want is an admin form to allow the entry of the following information:-

    1. Hole# (1-18)
    2. Par - both men & ladies
    3. tees/distance - members, men, ladies (colored blue, red, white)
    4. Index # (1-18)

    Any suggestions of possible plugins?

  2. You could look at the more type plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/more-types/
This plugin allows you to create a new custom post type.

Custom post types are pretty easy to use if you know how to then get them to display in your theme.

Here is more info about custom post types - http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Types

    Thanks Christine,

I've taken a look but I can't really get my head around how I could use it...

What I'm thinking after a few days of research and analysis, is potetnially have a Post/Page per hole that just has a table in it with Values to be entered.

Doing this, I would then need:-
    1. An "image upload" section below each post (not in the post) that linked a photo to the post
    2. Have custom fields in the Post that are populated
    3. Have a Parent Page aggregate the child pages displaying the Page Title and the custom fields

    - Can I attach photos to posts? (not in posts) (i.e. file upload below post window)
    - Can I create custom fields?
    - Can I access custom fields from another page?

    Thanks
