   I am choosing themes and deciding on a premium theme is overwhelming as a non-developer. I think my choice is down to Genesis (with news child theme) or Woo Canvas. As a non-developer I am tempted to go with Woo, but then I have read that themes with a friendly user interface require more database queries, and thus load time is slower. Any advice? Not sure what is fact and fiction. Maybe there is not a huge difference. I want a theme where I won't have to hire someone every time I need help. I don't know much code now but am trying to learn. Thanks for any advice! -Krystal

   If you purchase a commercial theme, ensure their support is adequate as these WordPress forums will no longer be available (for commercial themes).

   They are both pretty solid options. Genesis would have the edge for speed, but that’s not everything. At the end of the day its best to pick the theme which has the features, design and options you need and will work best for your needs.
