• I’ve been using Advertising Manager plugin for a few months now, but the ads suddenly disappeared from my site. They are still in the Advertising Manager panel and the tags are still in my templates (e.g <?php advman_ad('sidebar'); ?>).

The ad code just won’t show up when I look at the page source of the site (so it’s not the ad network not displaying ads, it’s just the plugin not inserting it’s code into the template).

The site the issue appears (as well as on other my sites I use this plugin where the issue appears too) is ChalgaBG.

I don’t know if it is of any relation, but the documentation page for Advertising Manager was down when I went to check if the problem was described there. Is it possible that the plugin connects to it’s host in order to send statistics or something (which is not legal I think and not what a plugin should usually do) and now, since this page is down – the plugin can’t connect to it’s host and does not display my ads?

I’ve just disabled all other plugins except Advertising Manger in order to see if there was some kind of conflict, but it doesn’t fix the issue, so it is just Advertising Manager’s fault somewhere.

I figured out the problem. After some messing around with the users and a plugin upgrade it seems that the individual ads (at Advertising Manager) decided to change the “show” mode of ads from “All Authors” to just one author/member of my blog which I deleted. That’s why the ad wasn’t showing, because none of the content on the blog is owned by this author anymore.
