Advertising Banners between posts

    I am wondering how I might be able to place (and control) advertising I have designed to appear between posts on my blog.
    I have tried Ad Minister, but it does not do exactly as I would like and in any case, appears not to work with WP 3.0.

    you can use a php hack in the template
    I`ve read about it in the book WordPress 2.8 theme design cookbook

    If you refer that you would like to add advertising materials in the posts listing, then the best way would be to manually edit your WP theme. Edit the archive.php file and add your code on the desired spot.

    Thanks to you both, I think PHP is a bit beyond me. I don’t really understand it.
    I have made a few small changes to the bits that I do understand but, I would not know where to start here. I shall have a look for the Cookbook you mentioned.
    I was hoping there was some sort of plug-in that may assist.
