Can you add an advanced search form?
As we all can see, wordpress forums has millions of posts already and many more coming. It was fine before when you found 2 pages of results, but now there are TENS and I'd like to filter them out by date, resolved or not, amount of replies (hot topics are more likely to have the answer or more fixes advised to try.)

We do know the forum search is clunky at best and you're not the first person to ask for better search functionality. It is on the (very long) ToDo list. In the meantime, have you had a look at http://codex.wordpress.org/Special:Search

I hope googling topic keywords -"topic closed" makes the trick.
