    I want to build a plugin to enhance wordpress's Image management. Currently, you can crop and resize an image, but then you only have options to apply those changes to all image sizes, the thumbnail, or all but thumbnail. I want to be able to crop each image size independently for starters.
    Beyond that, I want to give the user the ability to select a specific image size to be used (and preview that size). I also want to have the option to purge old image sizes. I know that for every defined image size, there's a set of values in wp_options and for each image, there's a delimited post_meta record that holds the image names for all stored image sizes. I know this is a tall order for someone who has only modified themes and plugins...
