Adsense in Sidebar

    Hi There,

    I know this is a common question but i can’t seem to find the right anwser. Non of the solutions i’ve found seem to work for me.

    What i want is to put my adsense advertising in the sidebar of my blog.
    I Tried the following things

    – Plain Text Widget
    – amikelive adsense Widget
    – adsense code in sidebar.php

    the code i’m using:

    I want to put the Adsense ad below the twitter widget.

    (plain) textwidget does usually work;

    what is the result if you try a textwidget?

    does adsense work in other parts of your site?

    I agree with alchymyth, it should work using the plain textwidget unless there’s a plugin or something in the CSS causing the issue.

    Your last resort is probably include it in the sidebar.php.

    Ok, i’ve got it working now for some part. I’t seems there was an issue with some plugins. I’ve removed all plugins i wasn’t using anymore and then the adsense in the text widget works.

    Only problem now is i can only get 1 adsence ad to work, if i ad more ads in the sidebar or footbar or where ever then the second one does not work.

    there are usually only three adsense units showing on a page – so if you have two in the header and main column already …

    Yeah i’ve read that but i only have the one ad in the sidebar. There are no other ads on the site.

    can you post a link to your site, so somebody can check if the code appears properly in the sidebar?

    As you can see below the twitter widget you find the first ad. Below that i’ve put a second ad but it doesn’t show. The Box were the ad is suppost to go does show though.

    Also when i check my adsense stats, it say’s my first ad is “Active” but my second ad is still on “New” so adsense registers the second ad as not being active.

    Ok, the second ad does show now, i quess it takes a while for the google adsense to be activated. In my case it took about 1 day before it started working.

    This issue is resolved
