   Where did the download page for AdRotate go? http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/adrotate/ does not exist, and the link to the download file returns a 404...?

   Resolved - found out it was a bug issue.

   Automattic (or whoever, support...) acted like idiots and removed all traces of AdRotate because of a unverified bug with low risk. The bug was real, but the risk was low and removing the plugin and all its pages was uncalled for and unnecessary.

   Ofcourse they ignore complaints and of course they were slow in resolving the issue.
