Adminstrator Roles cannot add plugins or themes (4 posts)

We just set up multisite to make it easier to update our sites easier as well as making users be able to access other sites more easily. I set an Administrator role for a user on one site thinking that they would be able to easily do tasks that you could do as an administrator easily on a seperate installation like being able to Add Plugins and Themes. It also is instantly erasing HTML Flash embed codes.

What can I do to stop this from happening?

Yeah. That's expected. WordPress uses [Embeds] instead.

As for plugins, that's restricted to Super Admins.

Both because it's a security hazard.

You can use a plugin such as http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/unfiltered-mu/ to change this behaviour. Whether it's a good idea is a separate issue. It's certainly not one to use if you have open public registration.

  4. dgilmour's plugin won't handle plugins, though, IIRC.

Also, I've heard rumblings that it's not working right on 3.0
