My blog has been active for a while but now all operations in admin stagnate. I can post a blog but that is all. I cannot edit a post, download an upgrade, add a plugin... nothing. All commands simply indicate it is working but nothing happens. As an example, a plug in is loaded and system says it is extracting zip file and will remain that way forever. Similarly if I try to edit a post absolutely nothing happens.
Any thoughts.

Check with these options:
-> disable all the plugins
-> upgrade your wordpress to the latest version
-> remove all unwanted code from htaccess

I disabled all plugins but as has been the case before, when I try any upgrade or anything else absolutely nothing happens. It says it is loading or downloading but it does absolutely nothing. Similar to loadin g a plug in, it syasys it is opening zip file but does absolutely nothing.
BTW how do I access htaccess
