• I am trying to search in my admin cp through some custom pages I created. I am not getting any results and when I do, they are from posts not pages.

    Anyone else experienced this?

    Thanks in advance.

  • How can anyone else have experienced this when you said yourself that it’s custom pages I created.
This might be at home more in the hacks section. Posting some code might help also.

The custom pages I am referring to are the standard “pages” in wordpress as opposed to “posts”. I am sorry if I didn’t clarify that. I am trying to search “pages” but I am not getting any results. The results are for “posts” even though I am in the “pages” admin tab.

    thanks

Is no one else having this problem but me? Everyone else’s pages search function in the admin cp works ok?

If I search for something in the pages from the Manage > Pages area it works fine. If I search for something in the Manage > Posts area, that searches only in posts (not pages) as expected. So nope, no problems with that here.

What plugins are you using? Are you using any that converted posts to pages? If you are familiar with accessing the database you might go to phpMyAdmin and see if your pages are listed as such in the posts table.

I’ve never had a problem searching pages in the admin area (which makes me wonder why the standard search only covers posts).
