I want to have multiple authors on my blog, but I don’t want to give them posting access. I want to post for everyone to keep it all organized and timely. But, I want it to show the actual author as the author. Is there a way to do this?

  • yes

create the additional users you want, and give them Author privileges. When you create the post, find the section for Author below the post and set the author to whatever you want it to be. If you have already created the post as admin, you can change the author and update the post

but then they’ll have the ability to publish if they wanted to, won’t they? I don’t want them to have the ability.

Create the users and set them up as Contributors. They can log in, post and save post but only you can publish content.
