   I was trying to get to my admin panel to get started and neither my username nor my e-mail was recognized and I JUST logged in.

   the username should be admin, I changed my display name and whatnot thinking it would alter my username as well but it still needs admin as the username, maybe the same for you ?

   Check your username and update your password using the phpmyadmin icon in the cPanel. Use the following tutorial to guide you: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/phpmyadmin/
