Hey guys, I'm new here, so correct me if I'm wrong, okay...
I am building a wordpress site for my college department symposium and the install goes on fine. But the admin panel doen't have any drop-down menus and widget drag-drop won't work! I am using wordpress.com for my blog and i have tried tried to run a version of the college's site locally on my mac. And yes, it works perfectly on my mac. Then why not on my remote host?
Could it be a permissions problem? And btw, I used fantastico provided on cPANEL as well, but nothing seems to correct the error!
HELP ME OUT HERE!

By admin panel, I mean the Dashboard
Have you tried:
- checking through Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 - Master List
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Could something be blocking javascript at your end?
Have you tried increasing the memory available to PHP:
