Admin panel and dark themes (4 posts)

Hi there... first post, still getting to know the sys, so bear with ;)

From what I know, for users to login to a wordpress blog they're going to be taken 'behind the scenes' into the admin area, which is not ordinarily themed. I'm wondering first of all if there is any way around this, but I think there is not from what I have researched.

Now, I'd really like a seamless user experience, and the look of my main site is most assuredly not going to be compatible with a clean white control panel. Am I then left to fiddle with the wp-admin.css, with no other option at hand?

If so, I'm curious to know if anyone has an admin panel theme of a dark nature that I could have a look at... thanks a bunch :)

You can Theme your WordPress Administration Panels. There are a lot of them, but it is important that users know 1) they are entering a "restricted zone", and 2) if they ask for help outside of your little world, they have a context that we, the helpers, can relate to. Other than that, go ahead.

I saw someone working on a dark admin theme recently. I think he called it Ashes?
