Support » Fixing WordPress » admin pages won’t load

  • I’ve checked the other post about this and none of them seem related. I can not get into my admin pages or load most of the pages in the wpadmin or wpincludes directories.

The page completes with no errors says “done” and leaves me a blank screen to stare at.

the site won’t register a new user or display the login page. The only page I can get to display in these driectories is the wp-mail.php page which is not configured. I recently upgraded, and have not been able to log in since.

The site is vaughnshire.com you can try to register to see the problem.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  • Are you saying that this problem happened directly after upgrading?

This is wierd. Is it happening all of the time or just sometimes? If it’s all the time then it’s most likely a problem with the installation. If it’s only sometimes it could be a few things. A browser issue, a problem with your connection, a problem with your host…

It looks like I had an aborted upgrade. I reposted the files and now the entire site is out of wack…my left side bar is not in the right place and when I log into admin I get the following “headers already started message”:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/www/vaughnshire.com/wp-config.php:1) in /home/www/vaughnshire.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 390

I’m searching for solutions to this for now. I’ve been through a few of the post about removing extra lines in the opening and closeing php tags, but no joy so far. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks – paul

Could be a bad install, but it’s more likely this.

Are you behind an ISA firewall?
The reason I say this is because I had the same issue and I have spent ages looking all over the net never mind these forums and I can’t find anyone with the exact same problem as me. I found that some users could access the the pages and some couldn’t
