[resolved] Admin Menu Ddrop downs are frozen.. (3 posts)

Suddenly when I go to the menu option and try to click the "Link" or "page" or any drop down box, nothing happens. I can add new menu options but the drop downs to specify Links, etc. do not react to any click any more.
The site seems to work fine but I am now limited to adding new menu items as an external url from the custom menu.
I have signed in and out a couple times and deactivated plug ins.

    Any ideas out there?

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files - from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

As it turned out, my WordPress SEO plug in was the problem. After deactivating it the site is back to normal. However, I would like to use the SEO. I've reported it to the Dev and hope they know what the problem is. Thanks for the help.
