Admin disappears

Might be a conflict with other plugins, try deactivating those before activating the football pool. If so, please tell me what plugin is causing the trouble, maybe I can do something about it.

Or a wordpress or server config that doesn’t meet the minimal requirements (check the readme file).

Do you have access to your server logs? Maybe there is an error message there that can shed some light on the problem.
