Admin capabilities and editing

I am setting up a new blog using the Semiologic theme. When I post something and view it, I see that it can be edited by anyone who finds it in the internet. The word “edit” is next to the post title. I cannot find a way to remove that privilege so that only the administrator can edit my posts. I am obviously a new user. I appreciate any help.
