   Hello,

   I upgraded WP (mu) from 2.6.5 to 2.8.4 ; Since then, I cannot change the post author when logged as admin: the dropdown menu isn't displayed.

   When logged as a user with posting rights, I get back the drop down menu with availables users.

   In other words:
   As long as I used version 2.6.5, I could assign a post from admin session to any other user. Since 2.8.4, I cannot anymore, the option in the "post" page isn't available.

   However, admin user can still post, and is then the author (which is not what I want: I used to create a post from within admin account, then assign to the correct user).

   Thanks for yout suggestions?

   Thank you MichaelH, I will follow your advice.
   EDIT: indeed a good advice, I found out that is it an already known issue: http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/ticket/1093, with a workaround: add site admin as admin of the blog.

   I dont speak english, but you may to create e new user with administrator attributes. After, you can select autor in post. Good luck.
