    Hi,
    I would like to edit certain posts of a category and to better find them I would like to display justs posts of one category in the admin area.
    Is there a hack for the posts.php page? I sometime go to the web site display and look there but somehow I am now missing the "edit" button in my kubrick design. Hmpff.

    Kubrick doesn't change the admin screen.
    Can you not display category posts from the Edit screen and choosing a category ?

    Yes. Kubrick is just for the main site. But I am missing the "edit" link under the posts.
    When I go to edit in admin center there is NO possibility to select categories. I can show months and search for a text in posts. nothing else.
    I have WP 1.21

  4. If you're missing the edit link with Kubrick, you must've removed the following:
    <?php edit_post_link('Edit','','|'); ?>
    As for the ACP and being able to show posts from a certain category, I guess it's coded to show posts by month because categories can grow pretty huge, and it'd take a long time to load so many posts under one category. Imagine Matt's Asides category loading in the Edit area? Hehe...

    @Anonymous and @btvillarin
    The disappearance of the 'Edit this' link can also happen if the value in the "WordPress Address (URI)" field has changed in Admin > Options > General.
    I've experienced this problem myself, where the value has changed from http://www.planetthoughtful.org to http://planetthoughtful.org and also to http://www.planetthoughtful.com.
    While all of these are valid ways to access my site, cookies from higher or different domain names are not available to sub domains.
    So, check to make sure the value hasn't changed from something like: http://www.mysite.com to http://mysite.com. In this case, cookies set in mysite.com aren't available to http://www.mysite.com.
    This is a by-product of an issue with a line in the wp-login.php file, which updates the above value when someone logs in to the site using a different, but valid, URI.
    If this is the cause of your 'Edit this' problem, see http://mosquito.wordpress.org/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0000251 for a description of the 'bug' and for a suggested workaround, which is working on my own site.
    The devel team are aware of this issue.
    Much warmth,
    planetthoughtful
