i've added a new user with editor privs. in the admin > edit post she has nothing below the main edit box, no excerpt, no custom field, nothing but the "thank you for creating with wordpress" at end of page. note: i am admin and when we are both on a post, i can see complete admin but she can't. even when she creates a new post. never had this happen before.

Try having her click on 'Screen Options' at the top right of the screen and checking all the boxes for options that she wants.
Or, you can log in as her and make the settings.
