Yes another Newbi with a question. Have spent hours trying different ways to get into the admin / WP admin toolbar / administration screen so that I can upload a new theme.

I moved my URL from one host to Dream Host as it would run WP better and I could have a WP theme to transfer my pretty rubbish website to , this was all done very quickly and I can get into my Dream Host site no problem, however when I try to get into WP and especially admin it just goes straight to my website which was built on another server / package and transfered to dream host.

    I have tried http://yoursite.com/wp-login.php
http://yoursite.com/wp-admin and various other combinations but to no avail.

I can go to wordpress.org and log in to view my profile but thats it.

What on earth am I doing wrong ? am I being completely stupid here.

Also when I signed up, the email had the following link http://www.mysite/wp-admin/install.php
I click on this link and it takes me straight to my web site, which is all well and good but not what I want to do. Need to get into admin to change the theme.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

Ugh. When I try and log in to my account, nothing happens. The little word press circle indicating it is trying to connect just goes round and round ad-infinitum. I can add more articles, etc. and the amount of spam readers is adding up.

Can anyone help, in simple terms, how to get this going. My problem is also that I am not sophisticated enough for Word Press.org. It's really for people much more savy than I.

    Any help would be appreciated.

@urbanlandarc - I'd actually suggest that you ask Dreamhost for help with this - they have really great support: http://dreamhost.com/support/

Hi WPyogi. Thank you. I am so in over my head with WP.org. This is for those much more able to handle the 'back end' than I.

Is Dreamhost connected with WP, cause I am ready to go find something I can manage.
