Hey Guys,
I have just installed 2.5 using the released version from the wordpress homepage and have a problem. All is working fine apart from on the write page. The visual display works perfectly, however the Visual view doesnt work. When clicked, it doesnt move from HTML to Visual view, but the text disappears from the text entry area. Upon highlighting the text in the box, i can see that the text is still there, its still in HTML view, but the text colour has changed white making the box appear empty.
To give you a better idea of what im seeing, i have uploaded a screen shot to http://www.swiftmediauk.co.uk/wordpressadmin.jpg

I have the same problem and have no idea how to fix...
Are you also missing all the editor buttons (bold, italic, colors, etc.)??

UPDATE: I can get the editor buttons to work if I go to Settings > Users and disable the visual editor... but I was hoping to get the buttons IN the visual editor...

Yes same here. I like to use the visual editor. I did a bit of testing to try and find the problem which i have detailed in this thread: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/164241?replies=1
I am still looking for a solution though.

I found the fix in the forums (but lost the link so am searching to thank them!):
After upgrading to 2.5 and having the visual editor problem, download 2.5 RC1 from http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/ and then transfer ONLY the /js/tinymce/ folder.
I have done so, and now it works great!

dang! i was hoping that tinymce fix would work for me but no luck. I can't post or edit in visual mode. The "visual" tab LOOKS active but it's actually the "html" interface that IS active. Anyone else have a fix?
