   Hello I'm just curious if there is a way to adjust the width in my theme of my posting section in the css, if so where..thanks

   You'd need to make adjustments in at least 4 different places - #header, #menu, #content and #footer. Try just looking for '950px' in style.css and substituting each occurrence with the width that you want to use.
