• I was in the dashboard and went to Screen Options and tried each of the 4 column number choices. I set it to single column, but when I set it back to 2 columns, all the columns stayed in single column format. I moved them from the bottom of the first column to the top of the second column manually, but when I went to another page and came back, it was back in single column mode again, and the setting was still set at 2 columns. There is no “save” button that I can see.

Any idea why this is, and how to correct it?

  • Same here. The whole right column went all the way down, and the right side of the screen is empty. Any help please?

Had this happen to me. If I dragged the items where I wanted them, and then did something with one of the widgets. (like enter text in the quickpress block, or click a link in the stats widget) then my preferences stuck. Seems strange, so this may have been coincidence/fluke

Hi Rev. Voodoo, thanks, I figured it out. I simply dragged the panels back up to the right column, but they only stuck after I figured out at which moment I can let go of the mouse button. It requires patience and precision.

Yes I have the same issue. Changed the column view to 1 and then back to 2 but it didn’t revert!

Dragging and dropping the boxes does not seem to fix it – no matter how much patience !

    Any other solutions ?

Is there a method to reset the default options (other than re-uploading the entire WP!)

The moment to release on a drag to col 2 is a microsecond – this needs fixing, not just patience and precision.

Wow, I’m glad I found this topic. I’m a total WP noob and was getting ready to try patching the script-loader.php file. Would’ve broken my blog for sure. I hope somembody with real PHP chops can come up with a more elegant fix, but drag and drop worked for me! Thanks.
