Address or zip code not found Error

    Every time I enter a Zip or address the application displays this error:”Address or zip code not found Error”. After reading through problems others have experienced I know that the error is not cause by not making an account with sunlight and obtaining an API. I am also aware that it is not a problem with google maps because the map changes to that location when I enter an address. Another important piece of information is that every time I attempt to update the photos of congress i get this error: “An error occured while updating the Photos” Can you please help me with this problem!

    I’m sorry you are experiencing this error.

    #1 There is an activation link inside the email you got from Sunlight Labs. That link must be clicked to activate the API.

    #2 If you have activated the API and you are still having problems, please try the following:

    Please tell the webmaster of the website to enable allow-url-fopen in php.ini

    http://www.php.net/manual/en/filesystem.configuration.php#ini.allow-url-fopen

    Also, disable the cache option for testing, then when allow-url-fopen is enabled and CongressLookup works then enable the cache again.

    Please let me know the results of the above actions.
