Additions to a text file (7 posts)

I was wondering how to enable my visitors to add on to a text file, which would be used as a source for a random quotes thing. I tried to look at shout boxes which used text files, but must admit was fazed, after a few.. seconds!

You could always use a 'story script' ?
This one from chipmunk is easy to setup, but I've not integrated into my wp blog.

Needs mysql, but then that's just adding a table to the wp ones, so it should be okay ?

Hmm.. if I can't find a means to have contributions to a text file, then i guess i'll do just that. See, I'm trying to have like a description thing going on, where I can call up the entire list on my "About" page, and be able to call them up randomly in another part of the site. I've managed to do so, but the ability to allow visitors to add on to the file, without my involvement would help a ton!
    Thanks
