• I would like to add the Username, E-mail Address and Website box to my comments. Right now I only have the comment box but none of the 3 boxes to place above the comments box when readers leave comments. Does anyone know how I can edit the coding to add these features to my comments.php page? Much obliged.

Also, will this be able to support gravatars?

  • Hi

Those only appear when a user is not logged in. Since you are the admin of your site, most of the time you are logged in and thus do not see those 3 boxes. In the admin area, log out, and then see if those 3 fields appear. (Until you log out, a cookie is set that knows who you are, so even if you don’t have admin open, you are still seen as being logged in).

If you don’t see those fields after you’ve explicitly logged out, take a look at the comments.php template file of the WP default theme – try to find the code for those fields and see if whether corresponding code in in your theme’s comments.php If not, borrow the code from the default theme, and add it to your theme.
