Adding some Stuff

Hey guys I was wondering, how can I add a few hacks to my blog, heres what I want..

I want a box at the bottom of my blog just like this theme, however I want the box to stretch some more so it can fit another two lines..

Same exact color is fine, it would be great if someone can make it so I cane easily edit like “About” or “Popular” to the names I like. Also is there a plug in where I can make a post to stay at the top of all the others, like for news and stuff! Im not sure if this should be here since we are editing the theme or in the plugin forum.. If someone can do that for me I’d gladly put a link to there site on my blog =D.
