I am creating a new multisite network for testing purposes and have come to a stand still. I can create the primary site fine as a subdomain setup, and add sites to it, using cpanel and adding sub domains to the hosting account (BlueHost). Everything is fine, however when I go to a site dashboard other than the primary site, I have no link back to the network admin site or plugins, which seems odd to me. I don't know if that is how it is supposed to be or if that is a bad thing. There is no good documentation regarding this so I am flying blind here. I don't want to begin testing until I am sure that my multisite network is functioning properly, so any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Just a note, as for the plugins, I am aware of the add plugins menu options however when I network activate then, they are only available on the primary site.

    Plugins is normal.

Where are you looking for a link back to Network Admin? In your grey toolbar?

At the top menu there is no network or my sites link anymore outside of the primary site and there currently is only one user which is me as network admin, just the current site and visit site like in a normal wordpress install.

  5. Are you running any plugins? Did you change your themes?

No I have a bare bones install outside of the standard plugins included in a 3.4.2 clean install. Themes are all default as well for now.

  7. What happens if you got to http://sub.domain.com/wp-admin/network

I fixed it, I switched it or forced it into a subdirectory setting instead of a domain setting as I have multiple add-on domains on my hosting account so that may have been the issue, and followed this outline to do that for those whom may have similar issues:

Thanks for the fast response and help Mika!
