Adding Sidebar & Widgets to Photoshot Theme (not widget-ready) (4 posts)

I'm running a music blog at http://www.trebleintrouble.com and have a beautiful photo-based theme called Photoshot that I love. The only complaint I've ever had with it is that it is not widget-ready and the author has no plans to change this.

I'm fairly familiar with theme customizations and css, but have found several different strategies on the web for adding sidebars and creating widgetized areas and wanted to ask the pros here what the best route is? And if my theme is even workable? (I've seen that some themes are not the best for trying to add this type of feature)

Thanks for your help! Let me know if there's any other info I need to give, so you can help!

As you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme's vendors.

The author has awesome support, but doesn't seem willing to give direction on this issue. I realize it's not a WordPress owned theme, but isn't this the appropriate category to ask a question like this? I've seen others post questions on themes besides Twenty Eleven...right?

We do not support premium themes as you paid for support when you bought the theme. It is not our place to keep theme vendors in business or deprive them of any income that they may derive from support services.
