Adding shortcode to every page

    Hi. Thank you very much for the plugin–it works great so far. But how do I go about inserting the shortcode into the same place on each of my pages? Would I have to add the shortcode to page.php somewhere? Or some other file(s)? And where exactly?

    I tried inserting some test text into page.php. The text did not display on the page–BUT, it appeared to be on there because I was able to conduct a ctrl-f search for the text and found it. Perhaps it was covered up by images (other text?).

    If you’d like to add the shortcode to a template page, you’re better off deactivating my plugin, and following the instructions here to learn how to insert Jetpack’s sharing buttons in a template file:

    OK thanks. That looks helpful. I’ll take a read and see if I can follow it. I initially posted this question in the Jetpack support forum a month ago. They didn’t point me to that page–they said I should suggest this as a feature to the Jetpack devs, or use your plugin.

    I found the thread, and it seems you posted your question in the “Jetpack Sharing” support forums:

    That plugin is not supported by Jetpack, so that might be why you got a different reply.
