I have uploaded an .MP3 file to my website via FTP for the purpose of linking to it via Blubrry POwerpress plugin. I am getting the following error and don't know why. I remember doing this long ago but am forgetting something basic. Thanks

Have you gone through the PowerPress settings and turned the shortcode on? I had to do that just this week and it took me a while to figure that out.

Try putting this in instead (in the html editor): <a href="http://massachusettsmatters.com/MP3/2012-12-03ArturDavisMassMatters.mp3">Download Mass Matters</a>

I am getting fouled up on the path to the Media URL within the "Podcast" Episode portion of the post. I want to avoid HTML; Is the "shortcode" still the route? If so, new wrinkle...

Thanks for your help Curtis and Andrew. I know I'm overlooking something basic.

Something weird going on with WordPress.org, I've replied to this a couple times now and my replies disappear.

Question: What is the error that PowerPress gives you?

Shortcode is not the answer to this problem, as you want to enter the media URL into the episode box so the extra iTunes data is saved in the database and added to your feeds for iTunes.

Possible Answer: The URL you gave above links to a 404 not found page. If that was the URL you were trying in PowerPress , then for obvious reasons you would get an error because the URL is invalid.
