   I wanted to add a shoutbox and some other scripts I have collected over the years. I was wondering if I could do this by placing the include within the index template. If it is possible, where do I place the Shoutbox Folder, etc??? Thanks for any info.

   i would include it just below the loop, and before the footer. Or, if it's a tiny one, i'd put it in the sidebar.
   place the include wherever you want it.
   then style it's position and other details using its classes via css.
