• Hello WordPress! I think my question has a relatively easy solution. I am about to do a WP installation in the root directory, but I would also like to be able to create a folder with static pages that use HTML/CSS/Javascript. So for example:

    http://www.mysite.com = WP
http://www.mysite.com/folder = path to non WP pages

So the question is, where am I supposed to put the folder in my directory? Does it go inside one of the WP sub-folders (I think that is how you do it with Drupal)?

    Many thanks!

  • If you’re creating static pages, you can just create the folder using your file manager of choice, and create them there. The default WordPress rewrite rules will allow physical folders to supercede anything created by mod_rewrite.
