   On the Home Page and in general settings, I am able to insert the blog name.

   Within the Page Title element I'd like to add more descriptive info. Do I do this within the templates or is there another way to do it? I note that within child pages this process works fine using the page settings.

   Do Carry this out by editing the home page code or is there a function within WP which deals with this?

   You can edit the header.php file of your theme, incorporating the the_title function:

   http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_title

   looking at the reference, can I get a contextual example?

   It's still a bit confusing about how to apply the actual title words.

   does anyone know how to add page titles to the header of a blog! seriously need help, my page is celebrityshoestatus.com and im having issues getting th epage titles to the top of my content page, please help
