I have read some things about putting code into the header and would like to do this on my site:-

    http://carrotsandclaret.com

I dont know any code and dont want to make a mess of this, I went to a code generator site but I dont know here to put it in! Has it got to do with style sheets?

Those meta tags can be generated with a SEO plugin, as alchymyth mentioned. I suggest that would be a better option than editing the header file yourself
