Adding media controls and static footer

Hey everyone!

I am wanting to get a wordpress theme like this: http://pixelthemes.net/darwin/

But I was wondering how I could add a play/pause button on each box. Each of my posts have sound cloud and mp3 links in them. When on the home page (not viewing individual posts), I would like them to be able to listen to the track without having to actually open the post.

Also, when they click play, i want the media controls to be on a static footer, so that when they change a page, it keeps playing the same track.

Any input would be great! I know this is specific and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction!
